Safety Around Water
Program is for non-swimmers and beginners (Stages 1-3 of the YMCA progressive swim program).
Safety Around Water will meet daily for 1 week (Monday-Friday). 40-minute lessons are designed to teach participants water safety skills that help reduce the risk of drowning and build their skills and confidence in and around water.
Participants will learn two important benchmark skills:
- Jump, Push, Turn, Grab
- Swim, Float, Swim
All participants are encouraged to take swim lessons year-round as learning how to swim is a life skill.
