Verona After School Care
Children registered by August 25th will be able to start the program on the first day of school. Those registered between August 26th and September 4th will be eligible to start on Monday, September 9th. Beginning Septembr 5th, a waiting period of two (2) full business days is required before starting the SACC program.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a 2 business day wait period prior to beginning this program.
The YMCA of Montclair School Age Child Care Program is designed to provide care for children while parents are working. This program focuses on building self confidence and character. We emphasize the Y’s four core values in character development — caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility – in every activity and interaction. When children enter one of our state licensed Y SACC Programs, a world of growth opens up to them in a safe, fun and enriching environment. In addition to supplementing what they learned in school, they have the opportunity to participate in a variety of structured activities, get assistance with their homework from trained YMCA staff, have a chance to socialize with their peers and form new relationships. We also see the importance of giving them some time to participate in staff supervised free play, which is vital for their development, growth, and self-confidence.

Programs For Parents - Verona

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – Please Read:
If you receive Programs for Parents, please note that we must have the active 2024-2025 payment agreement form before your child starts our before or aftercare program. Within 48 hours of registering your child in our program, we will go by the date and time that you registered to determine your spot for the program. If the program is on a waitlist, you will be added to the waitlist and notified within 2 business days.
Receiving Programs for Parents does not guarantee you a spot in the YMCA program.
The $100 deposit is mandatory at the time of registration but will be refunded at the end of the school year if no balances are due. All balances that are not covered by Programs for Parents are the caregiver’s responsibility and will show up under the registered child’s membership. Any balances from previous school years will prevent you from registering for the program until all balances are paid in full. Please note that an active YMCA membership is required and you may not combine Programs for Parents and our YMCA financial assistance.
Your registration for the program is not complete until you receive an email from Danmarie Montalvo letting you know that your child is now in the SACC program.
