Adventure in Nature: STEM Explorations for Young Scientists (Ages 6-8) 

This hands-on STEM class invites young explorers to dive into the fascinating world around them. Through engaging activities and thrilling investigations, children will: 

  • Become Nature Detectives: Learn to observe, identify, and classify plants, insects, and other wildlife in their local environment. 
  • Engineer with Natural Materials: Design and build structures using sticks, leaves, and stones, exploring concepts of stability and design. 
  • Conduct Outdoor Experiments: Investigate the properties of water, soil, and sunlight through fun, interactive experiments. 
  • Explore Ecosystems: Discover how living things interact with their environment and learn about food chains and habitats. 
  • Use Scientific Tools: Practice using magnifying glasses, thermometers, and other tools to enhance their observations. 
  • Foster a Love for the Environment: Develop a deeper appreciation for nature and learn about the importance of conservation.

Welcome to the wonderful world of “Little Sprouts Science,” where tiny hands and curious minds discover the magic of nature! 

This engaging and interactive STEM class is designed to spark a love for exploration and learning in our youngest scientists. Through playful activities and hands-on experiences, children will: 

  • Discover Nature’s Wonders: Explore the textures of leaves, the colors of flowers, and the sounds of the outdoors. 
  • Investigate Little Creatures: Observe bugs and worms,  learning about their habitats and behaviors. 
  • Experiment with Natural Materials: Play with water, soil, and sand, discovering how they feel and how they change. 
  • Learn About Plants: Plant seeds, watch them grow, and learn about the parts of a plant. 
  • Develop Observation Skills: Use magnifying glasses and other simple tools to explore the world around them. 
  • Foster a Sense of Wonder: Encourage curiosity and a love for the natural world through songs, stories, and sensory play.

Sensory Spring Art: A Blooming Exploration (Ages 3-5) 

Dive into the sights, sounds, smells, and textures of spring in this delightful sensory art class! 

“Sensory Spring Art” is a hands-on, multi-sensory experience designed to engage young children’s imaginations and foster creativity. We’ll explore the beauty of spring through a variety of tactile and sensory activities, encouraging children to discover the world around them with all their senses. 

In this class, your little artists will: 

  • Explore Textures: Feel the soft petals of flowers, the rough bark of trees, and the smooth coolness of rain. 
  • Discover Scents: Inhale the sweet fragrance of spring blossoms and the earthy aroma of fresh soil. 
  • Create with Natural Materials: Use leaves, petals, seeds, and other natural elements to create unique and beautiful artwork. 
  • Engage in Tactile Painting: Experiment with mud painting, finger painting, and other tactile painting techniques. 
  • Listen to Spring Sounds: Incorporate sounds of birds chirping, rain falling, and gentle breezes into our art explorations. 
  • Develop Fine Motor Skills: Strengthen small muscles through manipulating various materials and tools. 
  • Express Creativity: Explore their own unique artistic expression through open-ended art projects.
